Ms. Rosa Luz Carreño González, CEO of GESPRE, has been elected as a member of the Interprofessional Union of the Community of Madrid, representing the Official College of Technical Engineers of Madrid on the Quality Commission and the Occupational Risk Prevention Commission.
The Interprofessional Union of the Community of Madrid (UICM) is a non-profit association that brings together the Professional Colleges originating from this Community, as well as those National Colleges headquartered within it.
Currently, the UICM comprises 33 Professional Colleges, registering nearly 300,000 professionals from the fields of Science, Economics, Law, Health, Social, and Technical areas.
The main objective of the Interprofessional Union is to achieve a greater presence of professionals in society and to contribute to promoting the social function of the associated Colleges. The UICM aims to become a forum for defending the common interests of the Colleges and a benchmark for society in improving professional performance.
In this regard, promoting collegiate activities through the UICM is an effective vehicle for improving the services of the Colleges. To this end, the UICM incorporates common and global perspectives, despite the diversity of its components. The interrelation of knowledge allows for a multidisciplinary approach to numerous aspects, such as the environment, occupational accident rate, health, quality, and new technologies, among others.
Since its creation in 1998, the Interprofessional Union has been working on issues of common interest to all professions, constituting a forum for debate and opinion on all matters related to the Professional Colleges that comprise it. In this new phase, a permanent objective of the UICM is:
Data protection in Professional Colleges
The performance of expert reports in justice
Training in environmental matters
The contribution of professions to containing the occupational accident rate
The Professional Civil Liability system
The ethical commitment and disciplinary function of Colleges and Professions
